Based on the feedback from the caregiver surveys received and from the Coalition of Caring Planning Committee, the decision was made that the 15th Annual 2021 Caregiver's Conference will be held virtual this year.
Thanks to the work of the Coalition of Caring Planning Committee, this year’s conference will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 and will consist of three sessions held throughout the day.
International speaker Dr. Aaron Blight will be this year's Keynote. His passion for supporting caregivers is rooted in his personal experience as a family caregiver; his professional work as the owner of a large home care company and as a leader at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. His thoughtful and inspiring presentation draws upon research to explain caregiving as a phenomenon of social science. Knowledge gained from the discussion will offer caregivers a framework for 1) processing
their experiences and 2) developing the resilience.
In addition, the 2021 Monthly Caregiver's Conference Listening Series will provide an opportunity for caregivers to hear presentations on topics of importance to them. Monthly presentations will be held the fourth Thursday of the month from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm starting in May.
In closing I am asking for your help in our conference outreach to fellow caregivers and/or caregiver groups by sharing with them information on this wonderful conference! Please pass the save the date flyer that can be found on this website to your family, friends, colleagues and networks as quite a few are caregivers or know of a caregiver.
